Helen Wills Institute Administrative Unit Mission
A partner in the University of California’s pursuit of excellence in teaching, research and public service, the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute (HWNI) serves as the hub for neuroscience studies and research activities on the Berkeley campus.
The HWNI Administration, together with the research administration provided by Research Enterprise services (RES), provides the
comprehensive administrative, organizational, technical and communications foundation that advances the Institute’s vision, goals and priorities. Together, HWNI Administration and RES provide the Institute’s faculty, graduate students, professional academic and departmental staff members with the supportive infrastructure necessary to foster and sustain state-of-the-art research and training; facilitates significant research collaborations with universities, government entities, and other institutions involved in neuroscience research; and serves as an advocate on behalf of the Institute and its members to individuals, agencies, and administrative units on campus and beyond.
