Third Year and Beyond Students- Advancement to Candidacy. After passing the Qualifying Examination, students are expected to establish a thesis committee and apply for Advancement to Candidacy.
- Annual Thesis Committee Meetings. Thesis committee meetings are held during the following time frames:
6th Year Students - September 1 to October 1
5th Year Students - September 1 to October 1
4th Year Students - October 1 to November 1
3rd Year Students - November 1 to December 1

- During the Spring semester of the year three, students are expected to fulfill their second teaching assignment.
- Topical Seminars. All students are required to take three topical seminars before graduating. At least two of these seminars must be taken after advancement to candidacy. See the seminar list for current offerings.
