In a “101 in 101” video from UC Berkeley, Michael Silver, professor of neuroscience and optometry & vision science and director of the UC Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics (BCSP), describes in 101 seconds how the BCSP is using functional brain imaging to find out how psychedelics work in the human brain. Silver explains that this research could help us understand the relationships among the brain, mind, and consciousness, and could lead to new and more effective treatments for mental health disorders.
