Michael Yartsev named Miller Professor

Michael Yartsev, professor of neuroscience and bioengineering, has been named a 2026-2027 Miller Professor by the Miller Institute for Basic Research in Science at UC Berkeley. The purpose of the professorship is to allow UC Berkeley faculty the opportunity to join the Miller Institute's interdisciplinary community and to pursue new research directions. Appointees are encouraged to follow promising leads that may develop in the course of their research. Miller Professors also participate in the Miller Institute's active community of scientists, including providing mentorship to Miller Postdoctoral Research Fellows.
