The Department of Neuroscience and the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute (HWNI) are delighted to announce the launch of the Carla and Corey Lectureship Series. This event, created through the generosity of co-founding directors of the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Carla Shatz and Dr. Corey Goodman, will bring outstanding neuroscientists to our campus to share their research and engage with our vibrant, interdisciplinary scientific community, spanning the full breadth of mind and brain science.
Our inaugural speaker, Cori Bargmann, PhD (Rockefeller University), is a renowned neuroscientist celebrated for her groundbreaking work on the genetic and neural mechanisms underlying behavior. Dr. Bargmann’s research has provided profound insights into how neural circuits and molecular pathways regulate complex behaviors, offering valuable implications for understanding brain function and human neurological conditions.
The lecture will be followed by a reception at 6:00 p.m. Join us for an inspiring afternoon of conversation and meaningful connections as we delve into the latest advances in neuroscience.
